Thanksgiving Vacation
We had decided during the summer that our vacation this year would be over Thanksgiving because a. I had almost no vacation days saved up at that time and b. we wanted to visit Sam's family in California for Thanksgiving anyway. I cannot fully express how the thought of my Thanksgiving vacation got me through the stress of work. For months. And when we finally went on our vacation, I had planned on seeing the sights, eating lots of delicious food, and spending time with family. I did these things, but not to the degree I expected. Sam and I both caught swine flu and spent days in bed, only spending a few hours of the whole week sight-seeing. I lost my appetite for half the week and only nibbled. However, we did get to spend lots of time with family. And you know what? I loved every second of my vacation. Forget sight-seeing. I got to relax, read in bed for hours, and spend time making crafts and watching movies with family. It was so much better than I expected, swine flu not withstanding. So thank you, Betty, John, and Rachel! Our week with you was perfect!

Sad. I'm glad you enjoyed it, despite swine flu. Are you still oinking, or has that passed?
Oh it's passed. It only took about 24 hours, actually, since I started taking medicine as soon as I had symptoms. Although the medicine made me throw up six times, so I can't decide if it was worth it.
It was delightful having you here, sick or not. Come again any time.
