So I'm blind. I wear contacts most days. Sometimes my eyes stop functioning around 5 pm and then I give them a break and wear my glasses. My left eye is so bad that if you look at my glasses from the side, the lens is super thick and you can see the coke bottle effect going on. Even with all the technology to make eyeglass lenses more discreet, my lenses stick out past my frames. My eyesight is that bad. I literally cannot see anything that isn't right in front of my face without my contacts or glasses. My dad passed this lovely trait on to me and almost all of my siblings. He always had contacts when I was growing up, but on Saturday mornings when we'd jump on his bed to wake him up, he'd put on real coke bottle glasses and we'd laugh at him. 

Now he's had laser surgery and only has to wear reading glasses. Who's laughing now, eh?
