I was thinking this week about how Sydney said she wanted the face and hair of the model in the Ruche lookbook. When I read that, I thought, "but I wish I looked like Sydney!" How ridiculous is it that we think that about ourselves? I want to look like Sydney, Sydney wants to look like the Ruche model, and the Ruche model wants to look like me... (I'm sure). But we're all beautiful in our own way. Besides, Sam thinks I'm the sexiest thing he's ever seen. And so I am!

So true. I remember reading that on The Daybook and being like, "Whaaa? You're beautiful! Why are you wishing to look like someone else?" But really, why is it any crazier for her to have that wish than for the rest of us? It's tough to find that balance between admiring the beauty in others and appreciating the beauty in ourselves, but I think it's part of becoming a woman. Great insights!
