five months

So another month has gone by. It might have been my favorite so far although I think I might have told you that every month had you asked.

Carter is absolutely a charmer. He smiles almost all the time except when the occasion calls for seriousness. Then he is quite serious. But it's never anything a little peekaboo or dancing can't fix. Particularly to the Blue Danube. Who knows why?

He is in the 99th percentile for height. Not surprising, if you know my family. He also is extremely strong and wants to stand or sit up all the time. If we put him on his back he does this funny stiffening thing where he raises his legs, arms, and head and just leaves his bum down on whatever surface we've placed him.

He is my best buddy and I love spending my days with him. The nights have gotten better. He almost always sleeps in 2 or 3 hour stretches instead of 45 minutes now. Progress! We've even had a few six hour ones! He's so much better at falling asleep on his own now too. It will just take a little more time, I think, until we get him all the way there. Anyway, it's better and the days with him make up for the nights.
